6 feature film projects, 4 from Romania and 2 from Moldova, have competed in Transilvania Pitch Stop Workshop 2017, during TIFF festival. The Island Project (Moldova), directed by Dumitru Grosei and produced by Valentina Iusuphodjaev (Brio Film Production), won the CoCo Award. This means that, on 9th and 10th of November, they will have the opportunity to present their project at Connecting Cottbus 2017, an important co-production market, which takes place during Cottbus Film Festival. This market is focused on Eastern European cinema. The film project will be presented to a professional audience of experienced producers, buyers, commissioning editors, world sales, and financiers.
